Building a safe place from the ground up.
For years, hundreds of dogs in and around Sandanski have depended on the tireless work of local animal rescuer Lyubka and the support of Herz fuer viele Pfoten International e.V.
The existing public shelter in Sandanski faces enormous challenges, while abandoned, sick and unwanted dogs continue to need somewhere safe to go.
Now there is a new dream:
A new private shelter in nearby Petrich with space for up to 300 dogs.
The land is already there – but almost everything else still needs to be built.
Your support can help turn an empty piece of land into a place of safety, care and hope.

On the island of Koh Chang, Happy Dogs Koh Chang works every day to improve the lives of dogs and cats who would otherwise have nobody looking out for them.
Their work includes feeding street animals, veterinary treatment, vaccinations, sterilisation, rescue, shelter and finding loving homes.
Every contribution can help provide something essential – from a meal or medicine to veterinary treatment or a much-needed sterilisation.

Preventing suffering before it begins.
On the beautiful island of Nusa Penida, Paws of Nusa Penida helps dogs and cats not only through rescue and veterinary care, but by addressing one of the biggest causes of animal suffering: uncontrolled reproduction.
Through sterilisation programs, animals can be prevented from producing generation after generation of unwanted puppies and kittens who may otherwise face hunger, disease and life on the streets.
The project also provides medical treatment and sanctuary for animals who cannot safely return to street life.
One surgery can change far more than one life. 🐾

Lomdogs Animal Care works to change that.
Their work includes rescuing vulnerable and injured dogs, providing veterinary treatment, feeding street dogs, sterilisation programs and caring for dogs who need a safe place to recover.
Their mission combines immediate rescue with long-term change – helping individual animals today while working toward a better future for Lombok's street dogs.

A safe haven for dogs who have nowhere else to go.
At Paraiso Ni Kimay Fur Sanctuary, rescued dogs are given something every animal deserves: safety, food, care and compassion.
The sanctuary provides daily care for a large number of rescued dogs while also stepping in when street animals in the surrounding community are injured, sick or desperately need veterinary help.
For animals who have nobody else to turn to, that help can mean everything.
